Keto Cream Cheese Muffins AKA Magic Muffins!
These Keto Cream Cheese Muffins first appeared on my blog back in 2015 as part of my Day 2 Egg Fast Menu Plan. But over the years I have gone to them many times and tweaked them into something else.
So it’s time they had a place of their own on my website!
How do you make these Magic Cream Cheese Muffins?
You need these items for the basic formula:
- Eggs
- Cream Cheese
- Butter
Yes, that’s it! I’m guessing you already have those items in your kitchen!
Those ingredients will make a basic custard like muffin. From there, it’s all up to your imagination and what you want to turn them into!
Just to give you an idea, in this video I make 2 kinds of muffins, one is a Tuna Melt Muffin for Carnivore and the other is a Mediterranean Muffin for Keto.
In the summer I turn these into berry muffins by folding in 1 c blueberries or raspberries and a little sweetener.
You can keep the carbs low by using flavored Keto syrups (like the Natural Skinny Syrups with monkfruit and erythritol). I personally love the Cinnamon Dolce flavor and they make for a nice cheesecake like muffin!
Carnivore Cream Cheese Muffin ideas include:
- Add Cheddar and bacon
- Ham and swiss cheese
- Shredded beef and provolone
- Italian sausage and mozzarella
Are you Dairy Free Keto?
Simply substitute 1/2 cup mayo plus 1 more egg for the cream cheese in the recipe. See? More magic!
I would love to hear what you make with your Cream Cheese Muffins!

Do you spray the muffin pans before putting the batter in?
I do not spray if it’s a silicone muffin pan, but for others I probably would.
I love š these muffins!
I made the Cream Cheese Blueberry š« recipe and they came perfect.
I did add vanilla flavoring, my keto sweetener of choice, and Wild Blueberries.
I’ve decided I’ll make more muffins with different flavors by adding the Skinny Girl type of syrups.
Thank you Anita for the great recipes!
You are so welcome, glad you enjoyed them!
Unbelievably delicious! I added diced ham, shredded cheese and sun dried tomatoes. I made them a bit bigger, only yielded 8 in my large silicone muffin molds. Had to cook them in my air fryer since my oven was occupied with Anitaās brisket! š Iām not sure if it was the larger size, the additions or because I cooked them in the air fryer, but mine did not āsinkā as they are pictured, but rather just flattened a bit. Magic indeed!
Wonderful, glad you enjoyed them!
Just made these and they are so good! I had leftover taco meat that I put in along with a little diced onion and black olives. I made some taco sauce and served with sour cream. My husband loved them. I can see making these in so many different variations. Having them for egg fast and keto both! Thanks so much. Love your videos!
ow wow, thanks you so much! Your muffin tweaks sound amazing!
Wondering if you’ve tried freezing these and how they turn out when thawed. Thanks!
I think these are fine after being frozen! I prefer to heat them up in my air fryer.
