Ok, today is about my 4th day of working seriously to achieve the idea ratio for nutritional ketosis. I hope this is not too much TMI, but what the heck, this is a new blog and I’ll be lucky to get a couple visitors. So today I have major gastric issues and I ended up going home from work after half a day. Frankly, I didn’t want to smell up the bathroom there!
I read somewhere in some forum post about keto flu and now I’m going to have to see if I can find that again.
On the bright side, I made it over that 80% fat mark, in fact today I made 82% fat! And that was with eating veggies at 2 meals! My Fitness Pal score was 82/15/3. Woohoo! I think I am getting the hang of this thing!
I never thought I’d celebrate eating 82% fat after all those years of low fat dieting. I’m sure all those Pritikin people and Dukan Diet people would be cringing at this.
Here is my food breakdown for today:
- 3 coffees with whipping cream
- boiled egg, with mayo
- 1 oz macadamias
- 1 large celery stalk with 1 oz cream cheese
- steak with blue cheese crumbles and mayo
- Zuchinni casserole
- 2 oz jello cream cheese balls
Calories 1509, carbs 15, fat 133, protein 54
So hopefully tomorrow I will feel better and have this keto flu nonsense behind me!
